The MoodBalance game is an educational tool that can be played on desktops and iPads. It was created in response to the National Library of Medicine's observation that young adults and children sometimes have difficulty identifying emotions in facial expressions. The game's primary objective is to improve emotional intelligence by teaching players how to recognize the physical cues associated with different emotions. In addition to this, the game also incorporates a hidden objects element, adding an interactive and engaging aspect to the gameplay experience.
My role was: As a UX/UI designer for the MoodBalance game, I'm responsible for understanding user needs through research, crafting intuitive interfaces for desktop and iPad, prototyping for iterative refinement, ensuring accessibility, collaborating with stakeholders, conducting usability testing, and adapting design across devices for an engaging and effective educational experience.
